Return Policy
Returns are governed by the condition of the item, the date recorded by the carrier and the instructions supplied after a request is approved. This page separates the assumptions customers often bring to a return from the facts that apply to home decor purchases made from Bright Nook.
The return window, stated plainly
The return period always begins on the purchase date, so a parcel that arrives late still leaves only the original number of days.
The 30 days period begins on the delivery date recorded by the carrier. Late transit therefore does not consume part of the return window before the customer has received the order.
The recorded delivery event is the common reference point for every item in one shipment. If several products arrive in separate parcels, each parcel has its own delivery record and its own starting date. An order that has not yet been dispatched should be cancelled instead of returned, because cancellation avoids carriage in both directions.
A request sent close to the deadline is not automatically too late. The date the customer first contacts Bright Nook is preserved, even if the reply with return instructions arrives later. The parcel should still be sent within a reasonable period after approval, and proof of postage should be retained until the refund is complete.
Calculating a window in working days would create uncertainty around weekends and holidays, so the policy uses calendar days from the carrier's delivery record.
- The return window is 30 days from recorded delivery.
- Separate parcels have separate delivery dates.
- An unshipped order should be cancelled rather than returned.
- Keep proof of postage until the refund is visible.
Return eligibility and the conditions
Any item can be returned as long as it is sent back within the window, even when it has been opened, used or partly consumed.
An item must be in a resalable condition to qualify, with its original parts, packaging and any seals or tags that belong to it. Time alone does not make a used product eligible.
Eligibility depends on what can be verified when the parcel reaches the returns desk. A product that can be cleaned or simply repacked may pass inspection, while one that has been altered, mixed with other materials or made incomplete may not. For home decor supplies, opening a sealed container of paint, dye, adhesive or resin can change the return outcome because the contents can no longer be confirmed.
A damaged, defective or incorrect item is treated differently from a change of mind. It should be reported with photographs rather than placed back in the post as an ordinary return, so the correct process can be started and return carriage can be handled appropriately.
Checking the product page and the packaging before use is the simplest way to avoid losing return eligibility.
- Original packaging, parts and seals are required where applicable.
- Opened consumables may lose eligibility.
- A damaged or wrong item follows the problem-order process.
- Ask support@abrahamsite.shop before returning an item whose condition is unclear.
Requesting a return: the steps
A parcel can be sent back to the warehouse address without warning, and the refund will be matched automatically when it appears.
Every return must be requested first. Contact support@abrahamsite.shop with the order reference, item details and reason so the return can be recorded and the correct instructions supplied.
Unauthorized parcels are difficult to match because several products can look alike and the outer box may not contain an order number. A return without a recorded request may therefore be delayed or refused. The reply from Bright Nook confirms whether the item is accepted for return and where it should be sent.
Include the order reference inside the parcel as well as on the outside where possible. Use a tracked service for valuable items and keep the receipt until the refund appears. The tracking number allows the return to be traced if the carrier loses it, while an untracked parcel that disappears cannot usually be verified.
The request also allows the condition to be discussed before postage is spent. When photographs show that an item is outside the policy, that can be explained before the customer incurs a return cost.
- Ask for a return before sending anything.
- Send the order reference, item details and reason to support@abrahamsite.shop.
- Use tracking for valuable returns and retain the receipt.
- An unauthorized parcel may be delayed or declined.
Return carriage and who pays
The customer always pays return postage, even when the product arrived damaged or the wrong item was delivered.
Return carriage is paid by the customer for a change of mind, but Bright Nook covers it when the item was damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied.
A change-of-mind return normally requires the customer to arrange and pay for a tracked service. The original outward shipping charge is not refunded in that situation, because the delivery service was completed. Where the return is caused by an error on the part of Bright Nook, the return method and cost are arranged through support instead of being left to the customer.
If several items from one order are being returned, sending them together can reduce carriage and simplify inspection. Each product still needs to meet the condition rules, and the parcel should include the approved return reference.
The approval message states which carriage arrangement applies. Do not assume that a prepaid label will be issued unless it is explicitly included in that reply.
- Change of mind: the customer arranges return carriage.
- Our error: Bright Nook covers the return cost.
- The original outward shipping charge is not refunded for a change of mind.
- The approval reply states the applicable carriage arrangement.
Inspection and the refund decision
A refund is released as soon as the return tracking shows that the parcel was delivered, without any inspection.
The return is checked after arrival, and the refund is issued to the original payment method within seven calendar days once the item passes inspection.
Inspection confirms that the returned product is the correct item, that all expected parts are present and that its condition supports a refund. If something is missing or inconsistent, Bright Nook explains the issue before applying any reduction. A refund is never redirected to a different person, card or payment account merely because that would be more convenient.
The refund window describes the time from completed inspection to the release of the credit, not the time until a bank displays it. Financial institutions may take additional days to post the amount, and that posting period is outside the control of Bright Nook.
A refund can also be issued without a return when an item is confirmed lost or when a replacement cannot be supplied. In that case, the same original-method rule applies.
- Returns are inspected after arrival.
- The refund target is seven calendar days after inspection.
- Credits return to the original payment method only.
- Bank posting time may add several working days.
Exclusions and the limits that apply
Every product is returnable because a customer can always claim that the condition was not as expected.
Some materials cannot be returned once their seal is broken, their length has been cut or their contents can no longer be verified, and the exclusions apply even when the return is otherwise timely.
Opened paint, dye, adhesive and resin cannot be returned, because the contents cannot be verified once the seal is broken.
Cut lengths of cord, ribbon, fabric and vinyl are excluded, since they cannot be resold once they have been measured and cut.
Kits with missing or partly used pieces cannot be accepted as complete.
Clearance and final-sale lines are marked on the product page and are not returnable, and the marking is visible before an order is completed.
These limits are tied to resale and verification, not to whether a reason sounds reasonable. A consumable cannot be tested for safety once it has been opened, and a cut length cannot be returned to stock as a new item. The product page or support reply identifies whether a specific line falls within an exclusion.
If an excluded item is sent back without approval, it may be held while Bright Nook asks for instructions. Returning it to the customer may require a shipping payment, and storage cannot continue indefinitely.
- Exclusions apply regardless of the remaining return window.
- A broken seal or cut length can make an item unsalable.
- Ask support@abrahamsite.shop before posting a questionable product.
- An unauthorized excluded return may be held or sent back at the customer's cost.
Late returns and refund reviews
A return that arrives after the deadline is always refused, and a disputed inspection can never be reconsidered.
A late return is reviewed individually, and a disputed condition decision can be escalated for a second review rather than being treated as final on first inspection.
A parcel that is already in transit as the window closes should be mentioned to support@abrahamsite.shop before it reaches the returns desk. The delivery record and the date of the original request are considered together, along with the reason for the delay. Acceptance is not guaranteed, but a shipment that is genuinely in progress is not discarded merely because it crosses the line.
If the first inspection finds a problem, the customer can ask for the evidence and reasoning to be reviewed by another staff member. Missing-part claims, unusual damage and questions about whether an item was used are the situations most likely to benefit from a second look. The outcome is documented so the same issue is not decided twice without new information.
Refunds for late or disputed returns follow the normal seven calendar days once the return is accepted.
- Late returns are assessed case by case.
- Tell support@abrahamsite.shop if an approved return is still in transit.
- A disputed inspection can receive a second review.
- Any accepted refund follows the normal seven calendar days process.
